Cabinet Noir opened in 2013 in tucked away Shafto Lane, Perth. The title in French, meaning the “Black Room”, derives from the office in France where the letters of suspected persons were opened and read by public officials before being forwarded to their destination. The office where this operation took place was called Cabinet du Secrets des Postes, or more popularly ‘Cabinet Noir.’

2019 marks the launch of Cabinet Noir brand and the opening of the new store located in Perth's luxury precinct, Raine Square. The new store focuses predominantly on contemporary and luxury designer brands.
